Introduction

Thank you for your interest in the JALTCALL2002 conference, to be held 18-19th May, 2002 at Hiroshima Jogakuin University. Please use this form to register for the conference. The deadline for pre-registration is midnight on May 12th, 2002.

Please be sure to fill in items marked with a **, as the form cannot be processed without this information. Be assured, that the data you supply will only be used for the purposes of ensuring a smooth registration process for this conference and will not be passed to any third party.

Kindly note that an acknowledgement of your registration will be sent automatically, and immediately, to the email address you supply in this form. Fee calculation

The basic fees for the conference are 5,500 yen for one day or 9,000 yen for two days.
JALT CALL SIG members, JALT Hiroshima Chapter members, full-time students, presenters and JACET members are entitled to register at the discount rate.
On Saturday night there will be a reception hosted by JALTCALL and Hiroshima Jogakuin University. The reception will be a chance to mix informally with other delegates who share an interest in CALL and to enjoy the buffet-style food and alcoholic or soft drinks that will be available. Tickets for the for the reception are free if you register online using this form.

Please pay the conference fees upon arrival at the conference site.
To be eligible for the reduced fees, please bring your JALT CALL SIG newsletter envelope, JACET membership card, student ID, or school ID
When you have paid your conference fees, you will receive your name badge, conference schedule and, if you have requested them, your reception tickets and a receipt.
Please be advised that Networking Reception tickets are limited, so you should reserve now, to avoid disappointment.

Food, accommodation and events

Lunches :

We have arranged for bento, packed lunchboxes, to be available on both days of the conference. They will cost 500-600 yen and you can choose from meat, fish or vegetarian. If you would like to reserve a bento, please indicate your preference below and bring enough small change to pay for the bento when you pick it up in the registration area.

Hotels :

Please book your hotel now to avoid disappointment. Our accommodation web page lists many alternatives. You may also wish to consider using a travel agent to help you make a reservation.

Hotel Reservations ** :	I don't need accommodation. I have reserved my accommodation. I haven't reserved, but I will use my local travel agent to help me. I'm planning to use the conference hotels, but I haven't done arranged it yet. (details are available on the JALTCALL2002 accommodation web page)

Special Events :

Pre-conference events will be held on Friday, May 17, 11:45-17:00 at Hiroshima University. After meeting for lunch, delegates may choose to attend either of two workshops, followed by a tour of Hiroshima Univerisity's huge, new multimedia self-study center. In the evening there will be a dinner. Further details are available on the pre-conference workshops page

Important Notes

Send no money now, but please pay in CASH (sorry no credit cards) when you arrive at the conference.
As a precaution, it is advisable to bring a copy of the confirmation email that is sent to successful registrants.
Please inform us of any cancellations at least one week before the conference begins.
Please book your hotel now to avoid disappointment.
International guests should check with the nearest Japanese embassy or consulate about visa requirements. Useful information is also available from the official Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs website.
