------------------CALL FOR PAPERS------------------

The JALT CALL N-SIG now invites proposals for papers to be included in its 1998 publication, "Teachers, Learners, and Computers: Exploring Relationships in CALL." This volume, to be published in Autumn 1998, will contain around 28 papers of between 2,000 and 3,000 words each, and will be divided into three sections: "Teachers," "Learners," and "Computers."

Topics chosen should reflect the overall theme of the book, and should be intended to fit within one of these sections. For example, the section on "teachers" could include (but is not limited to): teaching methodology, materials, or classroom dynamics; the section on "learners" could include: motivational factors, self-directed learning, or classroom research; and the section on "computers" could include: hardware, software, or design issues.

Anyone interested should get in touch with the editor, Paul Lewis, as soon as possible. Please send an email to <pndl@gol.com> giving details of title and indicating which section of the book the paper is intended for. Final drafts will be needed later in the summer. Contributors do not need to be members of the JALT CALL N-SIG, nor be resident in Japan.
