Hello to all those JALT CALL NSIG members out in cyberspace.

C@lling Japan is now is in its seventh year and here we have the second issue. Our migration to electronic publishing is ongoing, with a more complete issue this time. Of course, on our minds most at this time is the International CALL conference, sponsored by an astounding group of organizations, some within JALT and some as far away as Australia, where our featured speaker is being flown in from. Thanks to David Brooks for connecting these organizations together. There are too many people involved to mention them all, but check out our web page to get an idea of the scope of the <May 30/31 conference>.

In this issue we have four fresh articles, one from each of our columnists. We have reports from IATEFL and TESOL. We have reviews of both software and books. Our ongoing contest for free tuition to the <Summer Technology Seminars> will end at the May 30 conference, with a drawing. Still time to get your chance in.

Another plea for a third editor, one for reviews. We have a news editor and an academic editor (for feature articles) but we lack one to organize reviews. It is essentially receiving software and parceling it out to authors to review and making sure that review gets in. Then making sure the review is up to standards. That’s all it is.
