Directions:
By Train
Coming from Tokyo Station or Shinjuku Station take the Chuo line
westbound towards Tachikawa or Takao. Some trains stop in Tachikawa
or continue on to the Ome line. Please make sure you catch a train
which is headed for Takao Station or Tachikawa. If Tachikawa is the
last stop, then you will need to change trains. Use the Takao platform.
Please get off at Toyoda station. This is 2 stops past Tachikawa
and one stop past Hino. Use the Central North Exit.
We are planning on running a shared taxi pool or Mini van from
the station to the campus. Please look for a person holding a Human
Connections sign or for a group of lost teachers.
By
Air:
From Haneda
-- (by Monorail) --to Hamamatsu Station (25 min)
--(by
Yamanote Line) to Tokyo Station (7 min) --(by Chuo Line)--
Toyoda
Station (one hour). To Hachioji Station (3 min)
On Foot
It is also possible to walk from the station. It will take about
20 minutes. If you would like to walk, please exit the central north exit.
You should see a bus turn around just outside as you exit up the stairs.
Continue straight ahead towards the North staying on the left side of the
road. About 200 meters up the road take a left at the first traffic
light. Continue walking straight on this road for a long time.
Cross to the right side of the road when you get a chance. The road
will eventually merge with another road and bear to the right. Just
continue with the road to the right. Eventually you should see a
large yellow building on the left, you can't miss it. Keep walking
straight. When you see a restaurant called Gustos on the left, it
is time to turn right. Actually it will be a large intersection with
Gustos on the far side. You are almost there. Walk another
200 meters ahead and you should see a tall gray modern looking building
on your left. That is TMIT. Head for the tallest building and
you should find the registration on the ground floor. Please print
these directions if you are planning on walking.
