The JALT CALL N-SIG will be hosting CALLing Asia '99 at Kyoto Sangyo University on the weekend of May 22-23, with pre-conference workshops on the previous evening and classroom visits on the following Monday morning to round out the event.

The conference will take place in the new Media Center at Kyoto Sangyo University which features 600 state-of-the-art computers in a teacher- and student-friendly environment.

This year will feature a wide range of presentations and workshops aimed not only at the beginner, but also to the growing cohort of intermediate-level users. Workshops will include authoring programs, java-scripting and advanced aspects of interactive web page and software design.

The proposal deadline in February 7, 1999. See the CALL N-SIG home page at http://jaltcall.org/cjo/ for further details, or contact Thomas Robb trobb@cc.kyoto-su.ac.jp or Paul Daniels daniels@keyaki.cc.u-tokai.ac.jp for submission guidelines.
